Poorly Cooked Dishes/Dishonest Bartender/Liquid Puddles For a Slip and Fall-Denied!

TERRIBLE! Service/Food/Management of location. Let's start at the end... I am now having to litigate the matter of slipping on a wet spot in this establishment, then for the owner/manager at the time to act as if it never happened, after they scrambled to clean the puddle with wait staff member hurriedly throwing a white towel and drying the spot manually. Later they claimed I slipped in this huge puddle because I had a drink, (like everyone else at comedy night)! When confronted he then and again finally acted as if it wasn't a possibility! Regarding the actual food: The truth is this issue started with the under cooked Caribbean style jerk chicken, inedible and everyone complained about the service of drinks and food delays that night. There were about six guests at our booth, who were all disappointed and some very upset. As I was ushered to the door after the slip, they hurried to put a carpet over the area and excused us rather unceremoniously out of the door. I was trying to get a picture but was rudely ushered out and I saw the cameras above the door. In the end my injuries were much worse than I originally thought, couldn't walk or stand upright comfortably the next week...and I did come back to settle the matter with the owner, who I had met previously, who blew me off and acted like I was somehow mistaken...unbelievably poor customer service! Only the waitstaff made this place redeemable, they have some skilled ladies who offer service with a smile. That experience was the third time I had a terrible experience at this location. The time before a staffer took my money and forgot to bring my order, then acted confused in an attempt to keep my money without service. When I found out that she had been terminated for stealing... Riiiight...so I understand HR is hard for a small business owner, so I let that go (primarily because I wanted to support black-owned business). Regarding Location: A few months before that incident, I was coming into the building and tripped in a pothole with broken pieces of cement in the parking lot just outside of the building, skimmed my knee and ruined my shoes...but that I never would have considered as the fault of the owner, but either way, I still wanted to support this and the Thursday night comedy circuit with my long time business associates, Phat Comedy and Lemon-head and Red. But, with all the poor shows of respect for loyal customers I could never recommend this place! The sad thing is, I really want to give good reviews to some of the dishes but there are too many other issues that make this business in need of new management and some owner integrity!
