TDS Buys Baja Broadband

Chicago based Telephone and Data Systems Inc has made an announcement that they have bought Baja Broadband that will allow them to expand their business portfolio in the future. The company said that they were looking to expand their business profile and therefore they needed better firms that can allow them to expand their spectrum in the same telecommunication sector. The company said that they believe Baja Broadband is the right option for the company and therefore they have bought the company for $267.5 million. The company said that with the help of Baja they will be able to enter the broadband market.

TDS Telecom President and CEO David Wittwer has said that Baja Broadband is a natural extension of their business and therefore it will help them to grow in the future. He said that the strategy of the company is to grow in the same business but differently and therefore they have focused on existing platform but different technologies that can allow them to expand their business profile. The company said that they would like to venture new markets and boost their growth in the right way and therefore Baja was the right option. He also said that they have plans to build a solid customer base using Baja Broadband and upgrade the network and offer better customer experience.
